Ally:
“Goop is one of my favourite blogs to read. Not only because of the delicious content, but also because I am completely and utterly obsessed with Gwenyth Paltrow. This guru has the scoop on everything from skincare to fitness, runway trends to healthy eating. Not only is she married to another of my celebrity crushes (hello Chris Martin from Coldplay) but she always looks so effortlessly cool. My most coveted look of hers however is from the film The Royal Tenenbaums. Though her edgy look playing Margot is a far cry from her red carpet appearances in Tom Ford, she rocks that dark smokey eye so well. I may whip out my favourite Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in black and give it a go this weekend.”

Beth:
“Gwen Stefani is a huge beauty icon of mine, thanks to two No Doubt videos I saw in quick succession in the 90s – Just A Girl, where I loved her attitude, and Don’t Speak. In the latter, she toned down her look and all of a sudden I wanted her amazing winter-white blonde hair colour, her red nails, and her dark lip. And, of course, to be the lead singer of a band. Stefani’s a devotee of MAC’s Ruby Woo lipstick – another look of hers I adore – but this one’s a little grungier. When teamed with the clean and simple eye make-up, it’s seriously wearable.”

Grace:
“Kate Moss is the epitome of effortless beauty. The fashion industry became obsessed with that (perfectly symmetrical) young face and she quickly exploded onto magazine covers and billboards across the UK. What inspires me the most is her ability to transform her look – she’s a true chameleon and can go from vulnerable (below) to edgy and sexy with a smudge of kohl liner and a certain look. Back in the 90s she was all about fresh, radiant skin – wearing her dusting of freckles proudly. Her tousled, second-day waves is a look she’s championed for the past decade, KMS California‘s Sea Salt Spray is a great way to rock this grungy look.”
